Shootmon

A Machine Digimon that evolved via the data of various ball games from around the world. With a cannon in one hand capable of shooting all kinds of balls, it plans to popularize ball games throughout the Digital World. Shootmon is nicknamed the "Laughing Oni Coach" by Digimon that fear it because it approaches them with a smiling face that never changes whether it is angry or happy. Its Special Moves are shooting balls from its cannon at speeds exceeding 300 km/h (Cannonball Shooter), and charging into the enemy by capitalizing on its elastic, spring-like legs (Wild Pitch). Also, Digimon who suffer its "Round Jail", where it turns anything it touches into a ball without wasting its breath, are mercilessly shot out of its cannon.

世界中の様々な球技のデータで進化したマシーン型デジモン。あらゆる種類のボールを射出可能なキャノン砲を片手に、デジタルワールド中に球技を普及させようと目論んでいる。怒ろうが喜ぼうが変わらない笑顔で迫ってくるため、シュートモンを恐れるデジモン達からついたあだ名が「笑う鬼コーチ」。必殺技はキャノン砲から時速300kmを超える速度でボールを放つ『キャノンボールシューター』、スプリングのような伸縮自在の脚を活かし敵に突進する『ワイルドピッチ』。また、触れた物を問答無用でボール状にする『ラウンドジェイル』を喰らったデジモンは、容赦なくキャノン砲で撃ち出されてしまう。
